The next Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince which was supposed to be released November 21 has been pushed back 8 months to be released in July 2009. It’s needless to say that I’m disappointed, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that. The last movie came out in July, which makes it a two year time frame between the two movies. From what I understand, the producers realized that they’d have a free weekend next summer to release the movie and are hoping to make a killing by not having to compete with any other summer blockbusters.
According to the same article, the movie based on the first book in the Twilight series will be release November 21 instead. Twilight is a vampire series that just had its final book released to great fanfare, and the movie will star Robert Pattinson who played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
I understand the goal of the filmmakers is to make money, but it’s just hard to see the reminder that this series, so well loved by millions, is really about the money, and not art or literature, as we’d like to think.

for the love of god how many more of these movies do we really need?
Well, they have to finish the series of course. I think the last one will be split into two films, so there will be three more.
Of course, we never *need* a movie, but for HP fans, it’s fun to see them on the big screen.
Till now the story continued well but,If they make the sequels like this it may be bored for the audience further.May be the HP fans enjoy them but the other’s won’t get any difference.
I think they should go with some different concept. But still their screen play is very fine.
